Emily Griffin: Where we belong

Hey guys, for you all who don't like change, here's a book review! I have to say I really liked this book and can prove it by saying I read it all in one whole day!  It's quirky novel about love, hard decisions, glamour and complex relationships. It explores relationships between birth parents, adoptive parents, lovers, sisters, friends, the whole she-bang! My favourite insight is probably the family dynamics. I'm from your typical two parent family with one sister and brother so I find it so fascinating how the family bond is tested when Kirby goes in search of her birth parents.  Her birth father didn't know that she existed until she rocked up on his doorstep, Marian (birth mum) kept the secret between herself and her mum for 18 years. Not telling her own father or the babies father. This prove problematic for Marian, as she has a steady relationship and friends in New York who know nothing of her past.
