Hey guys,
'How to Fall in Love' is the most recent book by Ahern and as usual it doesn't disappoint. The plot-line is simple, the main character Christine Rose has two weeks to help troubled Adam Basil fall back in love with his life. Sounds easy right?
Wrong.
Adam is more disturbed than Christine realises with many reasons as to why he ended up threatening to to jump of the Ha'penny Bridge in Dublin. With an arrogant and unloving yet dying father to deal with, along with a cheating ex girlfriend mixed in with being forced to take over the family business which he detests. Christine has her work cut out for her. She tries with her numerous self-help books to help Adam deal with his problems, but is it only Adam with issues?
After seeing another man shoot himself in the head, Christine's own life begins to crumble. After splitting up with her husband Barry, who has turned in from the ex from hell, Christine's problems are mounting. With trying to keep her business afloat, deal with her crazy family, helping Adam and desperately hoping that Barry will back off and move on. Ahern takes you on a journey of healing through many ups and downs, mishaps and disasters.
This novel will make you laugh, cry and scream out in frustration. I absolutely adored this novel, could not put it down. If you're after a gripping novel about love, loss and muddling through life then this ones for you.
